Thankful Thursday: Good in the World

Image may contain: one or more people, people standing, hat, text and outdoorHey, it’s me, Anna! For #thankfulthursday I just want to share with you a little anecdote from this week.
On Tuesday, I was running WAY late. I had a meeting at 8 am at the U, and my bus was leaving at 7:35. Basically, it was 7:31 and I still hadn’t even gotten dressed yet. But if I missed this bus, I definitely would have been late because the next bus didn’t leave until close to 8. So I threw myself together and sprinted (not joking) down the sidewalk, silently praying I hadn’t missed it. When i reached the sidewalk across the street from the bus stop, there it was, my bus, just pulling away. I made eye contact with the bus driver and made this face 😬😬😬and lo, and behold, he WAITED! And I ran across the street (there’s no crosswalk by my house, by the way 🙄) and tumbled into the bus (also not joking) and said “THANK YOU” to the bus driver. This simple gesture made my entire day, and I think he got laugh out of my antics. I was happily reminded about how much GOOD there is in the world, even if the news tells you otherwise.
