Occupational Therapy Month

I am so excited because April is Occupational Therapy month!  I love my future profession more and more every day as I’m learning the skills I need to become an OT! ⠀

That needs to change! There are so many people who benefit from this amazing form of therapy every day, but there are still a lot more who could really use it!

So, WHAT IS OT? Occupational therapy incorporates meaningful occupation (self-care, productivity, and leisure) to enable people with limitations to gain independence and enjoy an optimal quality of life.

Today I am hopping on a plane to attend the American OT Association conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, so I will share more with you throughout the week about the life-changing nature of OT. I know that it is life-changing because it (along with #physicaltherapy) changed MY life, and I am determined to help change the lives of others too. ❤️❤️❤️
