I have always been drawn to people who are comfortable in their own skin. Regardless of their dress size, height, beauty, social status, intelligence, or talent, I couldn’t help but love who they were because THEY loved who they were. I would observe and admire them and wonder what made them have so much self-confidence! It was as if they needed no one to tell them “you are awesome!” because they just knew they were.
Throughout my life (like so many of us), I have learned how to be more comfortable in my own skin. I have learned that the only way you can inspire and uplift others is to first inspire and uplift yourself, which is what self-care is all about. I want to be the kind of person that a child can look up to and learn that being YOURSELF is one of the greatest gifts you can give to the world. Like wise Dr. Seuss once said, “there is no one alive who is youer than you!” So own it!
