Fitness Friday: Yoga

This #fitnessfriday it’s me, Anna! 
🧘‍♀️ According to Harvard Health, doing yoga helps overall wellness in these areas:
Better body image 
Mindful eating
A boost to weight loss and maintenance 
 Enhance Fitness/exercise capacity
 Cardiovascular benefits (for a healthy heart!)
 Stress management/relief

The coolest part of this article for me was when it described how researchers have found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes every week for at least 4 years, didn’t gain as much weight during middle adulthood, and those who were overweight, lost weight!

Whether or not weight loss is your goal, practicing yoga has so many health benefits for overall wellness (mind, body, & soul)!
