GRANDMA’S HEALTHY COOKIES

🍪1/2 c butter
🍪1 c shortening
🍪1.5 c brown sugar
🍪1.5 c sugar
🍪4 large eggs
🍪1 TBSP vanIlla
🍪2 tsp baking soda
🍪2 tsp baking powder
🍪1 c bran
🍪1.5 c whole wheat flour
🍪2 c white flour
🍪3 c old fashioned oats
🍪1/2 c raisins
🍪1/2 c chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
🍪3/4 c shredded coconut
🍪1 c chocolate chips (can be either milk or semisweet)

Cream together first 7 ingredients. Stir in the next 6 and then remaining ingredients. Let dough chill 20-30 minutes before baking. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-9 minutes.

✨These cookies freeze well already baked. I also like to use a cookie scoop and freeze the cookie dough already in balls (see second picture). When I need to bake some, I take the dough out 15 minutes before to defrost.✨
